Passwords

On-campus access:

  • Access is given seamlessly via the Ezproxy server. You will need to type in your firewall username and password . The firewall username and password is given to you by campus IT at 016 910 3324/8.  
  • Some of the e-journals are individual subscriptions that does not work via ip-authentication and requires a unique password. Phone 018 299 2802 if you are asked a username and password on campus other than your firewall username and password.

Off-campus access:

  • You must be a registered student / personnel of the North-West University: (Vaal Triangle Campus) to access library databases from off-campus.
  • Access is given via the Ezproxy server. You will be asked to enter your surname and id-number / university number to gain access to our databases and e-journals. Phone 018 299 2802 if you cannot get access with your surname and id-number / university number .
  • Some of the e-journals are individual subscriptions that does not work via Ezproxy (ip-authentication) and requires a unique password. Please phone 018 299 2802 if you are asked a username and password other than your surname and id-number / university number .
  • Due to licence restrictions some databases like Butterworths and Juta are only available on campus.

* The Education Library is closed for renovations, but staff and services are still available at the Ferdinand Postma Library (Potchefstroom Library). The requested books will be sent to the Ferdinand Postma Library.
